Catcote Academy are pleased to announce that they have been chosen to participate in a one year Careers Development Pilot Programme ‘Careers at Every Level.’ The programme is a whole school early career development programme in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability and Talentino. The programme will target key stage 4 and Post 16 students. The Programme consists of three main elements: –

• Classroom based Career Coaching
• Increase work experience opportunities and employability skills
• Enterprise activities

Training has been delivered to ten members of Catcote Academy staff to become fully qualified Careers Coaches. Upon completion of Pilot Programme these staff will become Foundation practitioners and accredited by European Mentoring and coaching council. Through this training Careers Coaches will be trained to coach and mentor students within the classroom to assist them in preparing for adulthood and to consider their options and choices for their future.

We are excited to be part of this fantastic project to further develop student’s work-related skills, increase aspirations, independence and their readiness for the ‘world of work.’
