This term class 8 have transformed their classroom to look like it has been taken over by characters from the video game universe. Lessons have been designed to include everything the children love about gaming. As an end of term treat, the class teamed up with ‘Hartlepool college of further education’ who helped them host Class 8’s Gamecon 2017. A team of staff and students from the college brought a wide range of games consoles, games, prizes and challenges. All of the students had a fantastic day working as a team to build levels on ‘Mario Maker’, battling it out in ‘Super Smash Brothers Brawl’ and trying to become the driving champion in ‘Marikart Wii’. We have never seen the class get on with unfamiliar adults the way they did during gamecon. Let’s hope gamecon 2018 can be even bigger and better!
