Hello my name is Daniel. I’m in Year 13 and I’m also 17 years old. I started Catcote Academy in September 2009 and I was really happy. I learned new things throughout my time and during my journey I made new friends along the way. After a few years passed by I progressed with independence and was able to challenge myself with new assessments and outings to represent my school like Bendrigg Trust, Carlton Camp, Disney Land Paris. Some of my day trips were to represent my Enterprise Company.

In 2014 I started a GCSE In art and photography at English Martyrs School, where I could learn some new techniques and during my time there I made lots of new friends plus a girlfriend (but in April this year we broke up and decided to be just close friends, but our love and friendship will never die).

Out of school I go to some clubs like One77, Oxford Road Baptist Church and an art group at Christ Church and I really enjoy it. This year I started a job with the school working at our new café called “The Vestry”. I love working there and during the six weeks holidays I got paid for working there; beause I’m wise with money I have decided to save all of my wages, just so in the future I don’t have any problems.

This year over at English Martyrs we are starting our mock exam. I have been 100% prepared for it and my teacher Miss Hassan says I‘m doing really well with my work and with my page design. In the future I am planning on going to college to study art and possibly media and animations. That’s a dream I would like to fulfil and I’ve been into it since 2007. My dream is to re-animate all of the lost/missing episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960’s from William Hartnall and Patrick Troughton and I’m also hoping that one day the BBC will take notice of what I’m planning to do, it’s a lifelong dream and my friends and family like the designs I’ve done and they are wishing me the best of luck.
