Every opportunity is taken to reward both students’ achievement and their good behaviour. This may be through direct praise from a subject teacher or more formal recognition by the SLT.

The reward system recognises through the awarding of points the students level of engagement in learning and behaviour in lessons. It encourages the student to become responsible for his or her own learning and behaviour. The student collects points on their own card each lesson, the Pastoral teacher will keep a record of the points they gain so that they can choose a reward. By rewarding good behaviour we are modelling the standards expected from everyone.

We also want students to develop in their unstructured time and reward achievements and behaviour out of lesson using Catcote Cash. When students receive ten they can then get a free food and drink from the Academies coffee shop.
