Link 3 have chosen to support the Hartlepool Food Bank this term and have been researching who they help and how they help.

The Food Bank works with families who are in crisis in the Hartlepool area. They provide three days of emergency food to help them in times of crisis. Link 3 students decided that this was an amazing cause and set about spreading the word. They created and sent out posters around the school asking for help. The support they received was amazing. They then decided to spread the word further by sending letters home and placing a request for help on the schools Facebook page. Again the support has been amazing. Students from all around the school came in with their bags of donations. It was a great pleasure to welcome Abi Knowles from Hartlepool Food Bank into school for the class assembly. The students beamed with pride, as they were able to hand over the food that had been donated.

Link 3 students and staff would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. After the huge success of this first collection the school will continue to collect donations in school and at the Catcote Metro in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
