Objectives in spending PPG:
Raising attainment and achievement of students to at least expected progress through:
- Providing social and emotional support and interventions to improve attendance, behaviour and social emotional well being and engagement in learning.
- Work with individual students and their families to reduce the number of persistent absentees
- Develop outdoor learning to develop confidence, self esteem and provide opportunities for social interaction in unstructured times
- Enhanced/improved opportunities to access trips, residentials, extra-curricular activities including activity days
- Provide breakfast club to support improved concentration, attendance behaviour and achievement
- Improve skills for day to day activities through access to regular OT.

Summary of spending and actions taken:
Family Liaison
- A dedicated Student Family Support Assistant targets persistent absentees, and hard to reach families and also supports students social, emotional wellbeing
Social emotional wellbeing
- Investment in Thrive training and resources to enable children to become more self-assured and ready to engage with life and learning
- Investment in resources to support ASD students to emotionally regulate themselves through the use of the SCERTS approach
- Investment in therapy and counselling provided by CATS (Child and Adolescent Therapy)
Outdoor Learning
- Investment in resources to create an outside classroom for Forest School
- Develop an outside area to give students opportunities to engage and socially interact in unstructured times
Residential trips and educational visits:
- Trips include Carlton Camp, Calvert Trust, Flamingo land, Faramir Sailing, Blackpool, London and the Lake District
Breakfast
- To provide the opportunity for all students to have toast, fruit, milk or fruit juice on arrival each morning
Therapy
- Access to an occupational therapist
