One of our employability pathways is catering.  On all three of our sites we have catering facilities which includes:

• We are currently exploring the possibility to set up a trainee kitchen on the Post 19 site

The Community based coffee shop is managed by an ex student who successfully completed a supported internship and then apprenticeship course.  We are very proud to have him as a member of team and he is an asset to the school.

During the week students have timetabled slots to work in the coffee shop working on real life tasks such as stock taking, customer service, cleaning etc.  The coffee shop systems are identical to those found in our Vestry (coffee shop based in Church Street, Hartlepool) and this supports students when they are ready to move on to gain external work experience and placements at The Vestry.  The Coffee Shop is also open to the community 5 days a week.
