Most Creative Station

KS3 and KS4 Students from Catcote Academy have been getting exclusive insight into the at the ‘Most Creative Station’ project, as part of Discover! Creative Careers Week, a flagship event organised as part of a programme that inspires 11-18 year olds to consider the creative industries for their career choices.

The #MostCreativeStation in collaboration with the sound artist Nell Catchpole, hosted a workshop offering the opportunity for students to learn new skills, gain exposure to the industry and network with employers and people working within the Creative Arts industry. Employers at @Navigator North and Nell Catchpole have been supporting students through the introduction to Sound art, helping them develop their skills, including listening and communication, gaining invaluable exposure to the creative process of Most Creative Station in Middlesbrough. The project is in collaboration with nine artists.
Students from Catcote were thrilled to have the opportunity to explore new immersive art techniques, boosting their confidence and envisioning themselves in creative roles such as Sound Engineers, Creative Directors and Storytellers. They were also joined by Nell Catchpole and Jack, Sound Artists who offered advice and first-hand insights into creative sectors such sound, film and music. Nell’s experience as a sound artist motivated students to explore future careers in the creative industries.
