Jessica had an amazing first day at her work placement ‘Queens Meadow Care Home’. Jessica was first initially met by the managers Rachel and Sarah and then introduced to Louise the activities coordinator. Louise took Jessica around the care home and introduced her to the residents before she went into the lounge area to start her activity.
The activity of the week was Roald Dahl. Jessica shown a lot of confidence and enthusiasm when doing this activity when she took it upon herself to read to one particular resident who was unable to read the story herself. Jessica has enjoyed her first day on placement and is very keen to go back again next week. Her words where ‘I think this is going to be a lovely place for a placement and I’m really looking forward to working with all of the residents’.
