Mayor Rob Cook’s Visit – Catcote Academy

Mayor Rob Cook has made it his mission to visit every school in Hartlepool whilst he is Mayor. Catcote Academy welcomed the Mayor on Monday the 4^th July, when he visited school to give out certificates in assembly. Students in each class have been taking part in a project about Hartleppol and they were challenged to tell everyone in school what their favorite place is in Hartlepool. Students told the Mayor they liked Ward Jackson Park, Summerhill, The Headland, Seaton Carew, Sambuccas and the Greensides. One student asked the Mayor what his favourite place was and the Mayor said; ‘everywhere in Hartlepool because he is very proud of the town’. The Mayor enjoyed a tour of the school where he met with the Head Teacher and other staff and students. The Mayor and his assistant also enjoyed a coffee in our school coffee shop.
