KS4 Creative arts students visited The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle today. The Biscuit Factory was the host venue for the Arts Bytes competition in June. Three students were nominated for prizes with work exhibited along with other schools. They enjoyed exploring the contemporary art exhibits in a beautiful architectural building with an extraordinary history. The students felt relaxed and have been inspired to apply new techniques to their own work. One student said, “She felt calm and confident in her style and hoped her work could be in there one day!” Visiting the gallery has given a new excitement to visiting other arts and culture venues around the Northeast or when they are on holiday.
