Students in Link 5 and 2 visited J&B Recycling Ltd as part of their Careers lesson. Students were able to walk around the plant and see how the process works, from waste materials arriving into the plant, to the sorting, processing and filtration of materials in order for them to be put into bales ready for it to be turned back into a usable material again. The students asked questions about how the machines work and how they are able to separate materials, and the different job roles and progression opportunities available to employees who work there. The morning was very interesting and all students looked the part in their safety PPE!
