WorkSkills UK

Students from Catcote Academy, Official New College Durham, and The Oaks Secondary School all competed in a WorldSkills UK, Inclusive Skills Catering competition. Lyndsay Stevens from Cafe One77 Families First – North East came to judge and commented that the standard from every competitor was exceptionally high. (I’m sure you’ll agree with her from looking at the photographs).

She marked the 3 dishes including a surprise 4th dish based on the cooking skills demonstrated and the presentation and composition of the food.

It was a very tough hour and all competitors concentrated really hard to complete their challenge.

Scores and photographs are going through to the national organizers to decide if any of our competitors will be selected to go to the national finals in Birmingham. Fingers crossed for all in the North East heat.
