Careers & Enterprise Challenge Week

This week students from Catcote Academy have been participating in the SEND Careers and Enterprise week along with other SEND schools across Tees Valley area.  The event was organised and led by @Tees Valley Combined Authority and over 600 young people have participated throughout the week from ten schools!

Students participated in a variety of events and challenges,  they had the opportunity to speak to some key employers and asked lots of questions about their job role!  They also had the opportunity to find out about courses and further study options from Colleges and FE providers from across Tees Valley

They took part in a variety of challenges including  ‘egg parachute’, tower building activity, Desert Island Challenge, Chip Cone Challenge and a 20.00 Enterprise Challenge!

Students were able to showcase their work skills throughout the week, including teamwork, communication and problem solving!

The students have had a fantastic week and are looking forward to next year’s event already!
