“6th form classes S3 and S4 enjoyed a visit to McDonalds at the Burn Road site. Franchise MD Jasper Maudsley spoke to the students about how he got started in the business 42 years ago and how he eventually worked his way up.
Students then enjoyed a tour of the different areas including the crew room and the storage room as well as experiencing the chilly temperatures of the fridge and freezers.
Jasper introduced us to the new technology and the facilities they use every day. Especially with regards to the deliveries. We also discussed the possibility of our students attending a work placement at McDonalds and one of our students is now set to start there in September. What an amazing opportunity!
The visit ended with a drink or a McFlurry of our choice. What a treat!”
