National Careers Week 1st to 5th March 2021

Students at our 6thform celebrated National Careers Week and enjoyed a variety of career activities throughout the week.  They had a ‘virtual visit’ from Sue Willis, Support for Schools Officer from Department of Work and Pensions, they learnt about her job role and also the different types of jobs available to them and the new opportunities and job vacancies in the Tees Valley area.

Students also enjoyed a ‘Virtual’ workshop delivered by ‘Volunteer Yourself’ they are an external provider who combine DIY/construction trades and volunteering to help repair and refurbish youth and community facilities.

They helped students identify personal skills they have which are vital in the workplace. We hope to be able to start using these skills in work-related learning and work placements soon. Thank you to both organisations!
